Scholarship and Education Fair

SWCU make a scholarship fair to increase knowledge information and experience about scholarship to get free education in our university and foreign country (Australia, Japan, England, etc), and probability to change of research. SWCU done the Scholarship and Education Fair to solve some problems in our education and country, they are anticipatively, predicatively, preventively, educative, multidimensional and we need special attention positively. Scholarship and Education Fair do in Monday and Tuesday (26^th - 27^th), in Balairung Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (BU).

Education Fair on 26^th March 2012

In this section, there some presentation from faculty in UKSW, there are:

1.      FKIP

From Study Program Faculty of Teacher-Training and Education (FKIP) have some programs in their faculty. There are eight (8) study programs from FKIP, they are:

-          Guidance and Conseling (Bimbingan dan Konseling)

-          History Education (Pendidikan Sejarah)

-          Economy Education (Pendidikan Ekonomi)

-          Civic Education (Pendidikan Pancasila dan Kewarganegaraan)

-          Mathematic Education (Pendidikan matematika)

-          Elementary School Teacher Education (Pendidikan Guru Sekolah Dasar)

-          (Pendidikan Guru Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini)

-          Magister of education management (Magister Manajemen Pendidikan)

2.      Faculty of Economic and Business (FE)

There are 2 study programs, they are:

-          Management

-          Economic Knowledge (ilmu ekonomi)

-          Accounting

3.       FTI

There are 9 study programs in FTI, they are:

-          Technology Informatics (TI)

-          System of informatics(SI)

-          Education of TIK (PTIK)

-          DKV

-          Magister of System information (MSI)

-          TI D3

-          Computerization of accounting

-          Public Relation

-          UPW

4.       Prasetya Mulya

Faculty of law SWCU has large prospect of job, like advocate, district attorney, they can work in government, banking and company. Those prove that graduated from SWCU had got important position.

8.      Faculty of science and mathematic  (FSM)

There are five (5) study programs from FSM, they are:

-          D3 analysis of industry chemist

-          physics

-          Chemist

-          Mathematic

-          Physics education

9.      Elektro

There are 2 study programs that are:

-          Teknik elektro. This faculty had make robot like human.

-          System of Computer.

10.   Korean students

Presentation from Korean university students by 3 people, in the presentation communicated applying for Bahasa Indonesia. Although presentation communicated for Bahasa Indonesia they decided spirit and decided confident in communicated. In presentation, they present about traditional costume, food, traditional marriage, traditional home, and instrument music.

11.   Henry Wijaya Colombia university, there some scholarship to go to England.  Example: guide the students fro England to learn Bahasa Indonesia and culture from Indonesia.

1.        Presentation from information office of SWCU

In this section, she tells about SWCU like: how many faculties’ in SWCU, The location every faculty in SWCU, etc.

2.        Presentation from FIK (Fakultas Ilmu Kesehatan)

FIK is one of faculty in SWCU. Graduate from FIK is to become a nurse. In the presentation, FIK shows a drama about erupt of Merapi Mountain. When doing that there are about 20 students of FIK, they done their job like practice nurse, SAR, etc. its creative idea and amazing, because we can know how to handling disaster victim from erupt of Merapi Mountain. There are some symbols in FIK to help the disaster victim, they are black to death, green to lightly injure, red to hardly injure.

3.        Sharing University Lecturer

There are three lectures in this section that are Toar Sumakul and Anne Timotius.

-          Toar Sumakul, he is graduated from Liverpool, English.

In this section he share about how he get scholarship, how he go there, how he in there like his activity of adapting to society, how he eat food in there, how he find a place for shopping with cheap price.  He gets this scholarship from DIKTI and he became lecture assistant.

-          Anne Timotius, She is graduates from Australia.

She share like Toar Sumakul but, she doesn’t some like Toar Sumakul like she doesn’t find the place for shopping with cheap price.

-          Adita graduated from Japan

Australian Development Scholarship (ADS) is a scholarship program that defrayed from Australia government by Aus AID from S2 and S3 programs in Australia universities. The aim from ADS scholarship is to cooperate with Indonesian government to make Indonesia prosperous, democrat ion, and peaceful through S2 and S3 scholarship. -          IELTS is the open doors around

IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is design to assess the language ability of candidates who wants to study or work where English is the language of communication. IELTS test all four language skills-listening, reading, writing, and speaking.

cross cultre

        Cross culture on learning weeks ago brought me and my friends with speakers from Australia who is learning Indonesian Language. Here we are given the opportunity to ask any questions regarding cross cultrue. We split into 2 groups. I got a group with speaker Kirrilly, coming from Canbera, Australia. She has a hobby of playing basketball. In addition to learning Indonesian Language she also learning Japanese, Spanish. kirrilly ever come to Bali before, his opinion is especially beautiful beach of kute Bali. Kirrilly on holiday or leisure activites watching tv, going to the beach, go watch a movie with her friends and many more. In Indonesia, she likes to eat Rendang, and she said ' Rendang tasty and spicy '.

        If talking about education, there is the material between 6-7 analytical study of the subject. during the summer holidays the length of 3 months. wahhhh i wannt it hihiiiii

        In specially times, we discuss about Kangaroo. Like his history, The kangaroo is an amazing member of the   Australian fauna. The marsupial is closely related to the wallaby, wallaroo, Quokka and pademelon. There are around 63 living species of the family Macropodidae in the wild today. The kangaroo is endemic to Australia; however, smaller macropods from within the family are also found in New Guinea. Kangaroos thrive on the Australian landscape. They are not farmed, but are sought for their meat. This national symbol of Australia is commonly observed on the Australian Coat of Arms, currency and the tail of the nation's airline, Qantas. The marsupial enjoys an important place in Australian culture, with numerous references to its preferred habitat on the continent. The name kangaroo is derived from 'gangurru', but it's nice name hehee :p

        I was very surprised when Kirrilly told if there some Aboriginal people who eat kangaroo. It is not to keep the animal's survival, but already there are actions of the Government of Australia forbidding Kangaroo hunting down and killing:)

        The original had no music Australia, foods, musical instruments, traditional dance, but which have as aboriginal tribes are native to the continent of australia. its nice story abou Australia,I wanna go there but it's impossible hihihihiiiiiiiii :p
